No-Gi class today. Flow rolls for warm up and then onto half guard techniques. I realize I have gone through periods of playing around with positions and philosophy over the years. I’ve had periods of hunting for guillotines to butterfly guard to shooting for leg locks. Right now I’m getting really interested in Eddie Bravo’s game and have been incorporating his electric chair and other positions and sweeps. I even did some inverted guard today and scored a knee bar with it. It’s really fun getting outside the box and no worrying about winning or losing and allowing my creativity to put me in different positions. My training partners have also noticed and have told me that rolling with me has been a really fun and often he’s scratching experience for them.
