I watched the show My Diet Is Better Than Yours today and while I wasn’t expecting a documentary style presentation I was surprised at the blatant misrepresentation of healthy living.
It was ridiculous how ABC tried to sell this show. The term long “lifestyle change” and “long term health” were used repeatedly, but don’t get it twisted….this show is about fad diets. In the first 30 minutes I watched “experts” tell a man to drink his coffee with a tablespoon of butter, prescribe a “juice cleanse”, and cure a woman’s obesity with “taskersizing”. …cue eye roll.
The truth is that this show is for nothing more than entertainment. You can’t tout lifestyle changes and then subject people to a 14 week challenge with fad diets and “experts” that want to sell their books.
Do you want to really lose weight? It takes commitment, hard work, and intentional food choices not “superfood swapping”, “taskersizing”, or awellness smackdown”.
If it was easy you wouldn’t need to lose it.
