One of the brown belts led a small class tonight. We covered kimura escapes from guard and half guard which was very helpful due to the simplicity of his instruction. We spent the majority of the class live rolling and switching partners. One of the guys I learn a lot from is a purple belt. (In this photo he is attempting a straight arm bar on a brown belt). Not only do I learn a lot when we roll but he is an inspiration to me. He started Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu 6 years ago. He had never done any sports or anything physical in nature until then. In 6 years he has lost over 100lbs and is one of our best competitors on the tournament circuit and his stamina and endurance are top notch.
