I take very few supplement. Whey protein, ZMA, and Amino Acids/BCAAs are about it. Tonight’s BJJ class we skipped our traditional warmup and warmed up with armbar technique and defense drills. After about 10 minutes of that we spent the next 50 minutes of class grappling. It was fun and I worked some great sweeps, including a butterfly sweep against an advanced brown belt. He told me afterwards that he didn’t see it coming.
Needless to say I needed an extra dose of Amino-X to help reduce the soreness that was eventually going to settle in.
For those that have never tried the recovery drinks after a hard workout I’d recommend it. The grape from BSN is my all time favorite.
