Prepared last night for an early morning workout. Unfortunately the unusually cold weather combined with not enough sleep meant my propensity to hit snooze until it’s too late kicked on. On top of that today was my once every 2 weeks 24 hour shift. While I did prepare healthy meals the snacking was not as on point. I came across this article detailing the 3 unhealthy habits of first responders. Unfortunately I am trying to break all three of these habits to varying degrees. This morning really came down to a mental block of looking ahead at my long day and letting that mentally get in the way of what I had planned on doing. On the bright side I can use today as a rest day and ensure that I don’t let my mental obstacles get in the way of my long term goals.
